Two-day C that took place in Adama town. The conference aimed to highlight CPD as a path towards providing quality health services. Various stakeholders and implementers of CPD attended the event, including organizations like the University Jimma, Ethiopian Anaesthetists Association, Ethiopian Medical Association, St. Paul Hospital Millennium Medical College, Jhpiegio, Blue Health, and others.

During the conference, participants engaged in activities such as sharing lessons learned and experiences related to CPD. The focus was on fundamental CPD pillars, including CPD category implementation, iHRIS implementation, E-learning, and other CPD-related issues. The participating organizations conducted research and poster presentations.

Updates on CPD at the national level, as well as blended learning experiences from organizations like Last Mile Health, Sidama Region HEWs, Lecterio, and the Ministry, were shared with the attendees. The Ministry of Health (MOH), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Oromia and Hareri Regional Health Bureaus presented regional and national updates on CPD and its regulation.

The conference also covered topics such as the selection process, updates, and recognition of model CPD providers. The State Minister’s office and the MOH-HRDDI LEO shared key messages, including the importance of strengthening CPD regulation, increasing CPD access, ensuring e-learning and blended learning, enhancing monitoring and evaluation (M&E), implementing iHRIS, and focusing on CPD quality.

The conference concluded with the recognition of CPD providers. St. Hospital Millennium Medical College CPD was awarded the Model CPD Provider of the Year title and received a Smart TV with a 75-inch screen. Other notable performers included Arsi University HSC CPD center, which received an LCD award, and D/Birhan University Asrat Woldeyes HSC, which received a Desktop computer award. Addis Ababa University HSC CPD center was also acknowledged with a Certificate.
